We had a small engagement dinner at the Bull Run recently. It was such a great experience. Not only was the food and service outstanding, but they had a man playing the piano with some of the locals singing along. We loved the atmosphere. Can't wait to come back!!!
The Bull Run is a north central Massachusetts classic. The building is a beautiful old mill building with a river and covered bridge behind it. They have a restaurant, bar and function hall where they host many concerts and other events. The acoustics are fabulous!
I went with friends to watch Scott Babineau play on the bar side of the restaurant and we all enjoyed amazing meals, drinks and desserts. The food is to notch, as was the service.
Food is darn good. Great value. Good brick oven pizzas and meat, poultry, fish dishes. But, what makes this place destination is the impeccable bookings of music acts of great variety from blues, to oldies rock acts, cover bands, new and hip indie rock, jazz, country, folk. They gamble on newer or lesser known artists and win or bring in reliable standbys. For non-concert folks, the old, rustic restaurant and classic bar is warm and inviting. For concert folks, so easy to dine in ballroom or smaller room and take in the tunes. The building is historic New England. Only problem is they don't have shoes my size here.
Excellent service, it seemed we had multiple people attending to our needs. Ambiance is warm and rustic with a vibrant music scene. Our dinner was delicious. We both had the seafood scampi and could not finish. A must try is the Spanish coffee -omg !
the jam packed seating was the only negative 're the show. Thank God three wasn't a fire! The show was great ( Larry Carlton)... as was the service and food. I would rather pay more for a ticket and be less packed in...
